Intute (Discover the best of the Web) is a service that provides access to the best Web resources for education and research four major fields of knowledge: science and technology, arts and humanities, social sciences, health and life sciences. This service is maintained by a network of UK universities, where specialists from each of the materials selected and evaluated Web sites produce qualified descriptions of resources. Its database contains more than 123,000 records. Offers a search engine for keywords that can be combined with any of the thematic areas or to search the entire database. It also has a search tool for the field. The advanced search lets you search fields title, description or keywords, and combined with the thematic areas, select one or more types of resources between about 80 types offered, you can sort the results by relevance or alphabetically, and summarized presentation (only titles) or large (all fields).
